HOW TO PREVENT HAIR BREAKAGE

When using oils to prevent hair breakage, there is a large variety of oils to choose from to suit your hair type. While coconut, olive, castor, and jojoba oils are popular picks, you can also use Moroccan argan oil, grapeseed oil, or a homemade blend of all of your favorite oils.

You Will Need
2-3 tbsp hair oil/ oil blend
Hot towel

Processing Time
45 minutes

1. Pour the oil into a bowl and heat it for a couple of seconds until it is warm.
2. Start by massaging the oil into your scalp and then work in into your hair.
3. Concentrate on the tips of your hair as these are the most damaged parts.
4. Once all of your hair is covered in oil, wrap your head in a hot towel and leave it on for about 45 minutes.
5. After 45 minutes, wash your hair with a mild sulfate-free shampoo. Proceed to condition your hair.
6. Let your hair air dry.

1. In a jug, dilute 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water.
2. Set this solution aside and then proceed to wash and condition your hair.
3. Once you’ve rinsed the conditioner out of your hair, pour the diluted apple cider vinegar through it as a final rinse.
4. Do not rinse your hair any further.

1-2 times a month.

1. In a bowl, whip the ingredients together until you get a smooth, creamy mixture.
2. Apply this to your scalp and hair until they’re fully covered.
3. Cover your hair with a shower cap to avoid a mess. Wait for about an hour with the hair pack on.
4. After an hour has passed, wash your hair with a mild sulfate-free shampoo and cool/lukewarm water.
5. Finish by conditioning your hair.

10 large cloves of garlic
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp jojoba oil
4 drops tea tree oil

20 minutes

1. Peel and blend the garlic until you get a fine paste. Add the olive oil to the paste and blend for another couple of minutes.
2. Use a strainer to separate the pulp from the garlic infused olive oil. Collect the oil in a jar.
3. Pour the rest of the ingredients into this jar and mix well.
4. Take about 2-3 tablespoons of this oil blend and apply it to your scalp and hair.
5. Concentrate on the tips of your hair as these are the most damaged parts.
6. Once all of your hair is covered in oil, wrap your head in a hot towel and leave it on for about 20 minutes.
7. Wash your hair with a mild sulfate-free shampoo. Proceed to condition your hair.
8. Let your hair air dry.

3. Once you’ve rinsed the conditioner out of your hair, pour the green tea through it as a final rinse.

6. Aloe Vera Gel For Hair Breakage

1. Extract 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel from the leaf and set it aside.
2. Proceed to wash and condition your hair.
3. Once you’ve rinsed the conditioner out of your hair, massage the aloe vera gel into your scalp and hair until they’re fully covered.
4. Leave it on for about 5 minutes. Cover your hair with a shower cap while you wait.
5. After 5 minutes, rinse out the gel with water.
How Often?
Twice a week.
